Adventure Awaits You
Make your trip to Costa Rica even more unforgettable.
We’ll show you How!
An unimaginable world awaits you in Costa Rica. You want to experience it all. But where to start? What is there to do? How do I go about it? What about logistics? How do I get there from here? And where do I go from there?
That’s where we come in. At Tilawa Tours we do all the hard work for you. So you can just relax and enjoy.
The hardest job you have is just deciding what you want to do and when you want to do it. That’s it!
:
Here is just some of what you can do:
• Thrill to Canopy Tours over the jaw-dropping canyon of the Arenal River. All while experiencing the awe inspiring magnificence of the rain forest flora and fauna below (and all around you too!).
o When you’re ready to come back to earth (after a firestorm of adrenaline has rushed over you), a 45 meter rappel is waiting for you.
• Head for the inspiring Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park near the spectacular Arenal Volcano. Choose from among the 15 hanging bridges there. They vary in height and length, so you’ll have no problem finding something just right for you. There are also trails to choose from if you prefer to stay nearer to the canopy floor (and maybe see some wildlife up close).
o But it doesn’t end there. A Safari Float down the Rio Penas Blancas is next. Often referred to as the Monkey Tour, this is a great way for observing wildlife. While relaxing on a gentle river ride.
• If you want to get off the beaten path, join us on a Tubing Adventure and Waterfall Hike. Starting at the Lake Arenal dam you’ll tube down a secluded canyon until reaching the waterfall. The waterfall is down several hundred steps. Be warned! What goes down must come up! No elevators here! If you do take the hike, you may be rewarded with glimpses of the wildlife living there. Toucans, sloths, howler monkeys, and mot-mots ate just some of the wildlife you might see.
• Are you up for a volcano hike? Who isn’t? On this tour we’ll visit one of the reserves at the base of the Arenal Volcano. And learn the fascinating history of the volcano and the surrounding jungle.
o You can combine this trip with a trip to one of the nearby hot springs:
Tabacon Hot Springs: Tabacon is by far the most recognized hot springs in Costa Rica. The hot springs are located within the resort property and fed by the Tabacon River at the base of Arenal Volcano. While the resort does receive a lot of day and night pass visitors, there are many private and secluded sections that provide a natural jungle back drop. Alternatively, there are common hot spring pool areas near the restaurant and wet bar.
Baldi Hot Springs: Baldi Hot Springs is the most commercialized of the hot springs in La Fortuna. It is conveniently located Near La Fortune and offers a reasonable entrance fee. There are 25 different pools of varying sizes and temperatures.
Now that’s just for starters…
We can’t give you all the details of all our tours here. There’s just no time. But here are some of the other things we help you with:
If a cultural experience is more your style…
• Learn about the native Maleku people.
• Discover the medicinal plants still in use, and maybe pick up a Maleku word or two.
• Paint jicaras and masks with traditional Maleku designs.
• You might even see a traditional Maluku musical instrument, a drum – made from the skin of an iguana.
But we also help with this:
